YusMe Terms and Conditions 

 


1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the YusMe platform (“Platform”), operated by YusMe (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to comply with these Terms. Failure to adhere may result in account suspension, termination, or legal action.  

 


2. Definitions

- User/Customer: Individuals booking services.  

- Service Provider: ID-verified individuals/businesses offering services.  

- HANDYMAN or Worker: Sub-accounts for workers under a company created by Service Providers.  

- Wallet: Secured in-app payment system.  

- Booking: A confirmed service transaction.  

- In-APP Chat: Secured chat between User and Service Provider to Negotiate Deals

- ESCROW: Funds Held On YusMe until booking is Completed

 


3. Account Registration 

For Users:  

- Free to register. Must provide accurate information.  

- Users under 18 must obtain parental consent.  

 For Service Providers:  

-Valid work email and Phone number for registration

- Mandatory ID verification (national ID, passport, or driver’s license).  

- Choose a subscription plan (including free tier).  

- Responsible for Worker accounts and their actions.  

 All Users:  

- Keep login credentials secure. Notify YusMe immediately of unauthorized access.  

 


4. Service Booking Process

A. Booking a Service 

1. Negotiation Window: 20 minutes for price negotiation via in-app chat. Unpaid bookings auto-cancel after 20 minutes. 

2. Payment: Full upfront payment to confirm booking. Funds held in escrow until completion. 

3. Service Provider Response: May Accept, Decline, or Negotiate. 

-Accept: Service Provider accepts responsibility to do job

   - Declined: Means Service Provider is not available. Full refund to User. 

   - Negotiate: Discussion between User and Service Provider for better Price negotiation and job understanding.
 

4. Job Assignment: Service Providers may assign bookings to Workers/Handyman or themselves. 

5. Work Execution:  

   - Start: Customer must click “START” to confirm commencement.  

   - Completion: Mutual “DONE” (User) and “COMPLETE” (Provider) required to release funds to service provider.  

   - Cancellation:  

     - Pre-start: User may cancel for a full refund.  

     - Post-start: Only Service Providers may cancel (instant refund to user). 

6. Hold Feature: Use sparingly. This feature should only be used in case the job is to be postponed to a further date due to agreement between User and Service Provider. Misuse of this feature may lead to account Termination  

B. Job Requests  

- With this Feature, Users with JOBS of specific needs can post their Job request using the JOB REQUEST FEATURE on the user app. Request will appear in Service provider app, Interested Providers bid; User selects best bid to convert to Booking.  

 


5. Payments & Fees

- Wallet: For any and all transactions on the YusMe and YusMe Service Provider Apps.  

- Fees:  

  • Customer Deposit Fee: 3% on Deposit.  

  • Withdrawal Fee: 4% for Withdrawals  

  • Service Fee: 3% on airtime, data, and gift card sales.  

  • Subscriptions: Free and Premium plans billed periodically. 

-Withdrawal: Instant to local wallets. YusMe is not liable for third-party delays.  

 


6. Prohibited Conduct

Zero Tolerance for Misuse:  

-Posting: All posting must confirm to the various Service Category as YusMe reserves the right to delete Services that do not confirm to our Service Category

- Respect: No harassment, discrimination, threats, or hate speech.  

- Fraud: No fake bookings, identity theft, or chargeback abuse.  

- Circumvention: No off-platform payments or direct contact to avoid fees.  

- Spam: No unsolicited bids/messages.  

- Illegal Activities: Strictly prohibited.  
 

Consequences:  

- Immediate account termination for violations.  

- Legal action for severe breaches (e.g., fraud).  

- Permanent bans for repeat offenders.  

 


7. Dispute Resolution

- Raise Disputes: Via in-app support within 24 hours of service completion.  

- Evidence: Users/Providers must provide chat logs, images, or other proof.  

- YusMe’s Role: Mediates disputes but is not liable for service quality. Final decisions are binding.  

 


8. Liability Limitations

- Services: YusMe does not endorse or guarantee Service Providers’ work.  

- Technology: Not liable for app downtime, bugs, or data loss.  

- Third Parties: No responsibility for external links, gifts, or slow internet services.  

 


9. Termination 

YusMe reserves the right to suspend/terminate accounts for: 

  - Terms violations.  

  - Illegal activities.  

  - Harmful behavior.  

- Users may delete accounts via app settings.  

 


10. Amendments

- Terms may be updated periodically. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
